Peter will be facilitating as lead photographer guide with Beyond Skagway Tours providing the essential “on the ground” support, logistical resources and additional supporting guide services. Beyond Skagway Tours
Beyond Skagway Tours was founded in 2011 by Becky Mull, is co-managed with her daughter, Kate McGill and is a family operated tour business based in Skagway, Alaska that specializes in offering fun, unique day and overnight tours and event planing. Becky is a native Alaskan who has done everything from building log cabins in remote areas to guiding hiking and kayak tours to working as a deck hand on a fishing boat. Kate is a river runner, skier and a seasoned guide of her backyard in the Southeast Alaska area. Between Becky and Kate and the rest of the team at Beyond Skagway Tours, the company business model has been to leave their customers smiling. In the 6 years since they began operations this has payed off with the company growing to 9 employees who collectively have a combined 89 years of experience working and living in Skagway and Alaska. Beyond Skagway Tours brings to the tour/workshop the added “gravitas” to give our high valued clients the best experience possible helping them feel at home in Alaska like they are a part of the family. Peter Hines/Tao of Light Photography
Peter is an up & coming fine-art photographer from Utah who specializes in landscapes and wildlife photography. He’s been an artist since his earliest years excelling in both drawing & painting. As a teenager he bought his first SLR where he developed a keen interest in photography and ever since has been in
love with the camera and art. He went on to pursue a 30 year career as a mechanical engineer where he excelled in computer aided design, designing everything from lasers to roller coasters. After a life changing 40 foot fall in a rock climbing accident he decided to make a major career shift and hang up his engineering hat and pursue his first loves of art and photography. Since then, he started attending photography school, had his first photography show, begun a fine-art photo business, (Tao of Light Photography), won multiple photography awards and began guiding photography in Alaska where he has chalked up many 5-star Trip Adviser Reviews from pleased customers. In addition to his many happy clients he has gained an intimate knowledge of the extraordinary beautiful and pristine landscapes of SE Alaska/Yukon carved by glaciers and bounding in wildlife unlike any other place on Earth.
